The cemetery is open 365 days a year. The longer pedestrian and bicycle hours apply to the designated side and pedestrian entrances. Vehicle access closes earlier in winter.

The advice centre is in the historic administration building at the main entrance. Its entrance has steps. An accessible appointment can be arranged at Forum Ohlsdorf.
Columbaria and Forum
The columbaria in Chapels 8 and 11 and at the Forum are accessible 09:00–21:00 from April to October and 09:00–18:00 from November to March. The Forum opens weekdays 09:00–16:00 and by appointment.
Individual facilities can change their hours at short notice. Contact the cemetery administration for a time-critical visit.
