The main entrance is approximately three minutes on foot from Ohlsdorf U-Bahn and S-Bahn station. S1 and U1 run from Hamburg Central Station without a change; check current schedules and engineering works before travelling.

Internal cemetery roads are not always fully recognised by navigation systems. Keep the chapel number and map grid square available as well.
Buses and movement inside
Routes 170 and 270 operate exclusively within the cemetery and serve the chapels. As the site extends roughly three kilometres from west to east, the cemetery bus can avoid a long walk.
Parking and driving
Cars may enter during seasonal vehicle hours. Parking areas are located by the chapels, but spaces are not guaranteed. The limit is 30 km/h. Stop and switch off your engine when meeting a funeral procession; never drive past it.
